It is a common problem to be sure but it is not universal with aging. Heredity, injury and even some types of infection can result in joint damage. Don\u2019t assume that joint pain is \u201cjust arthritis\u201d or that we are supposed to hurt when we get older. Certainly, arthritis is more common as we age but it is NOT normal and does not need to be ignored.
