Doctor Post previously served as the residency education director, medical director and Vice Chairman of the Orthopedic Department at WVU. \u00a0He is also a past president of the West Virginia Orthopedic Society.\u00a0 He currently belongs to the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine and the Arthroscopy Association of North America, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the International Patellofemoral Study Group and the Christian Medical and Dental Association.\u00a0Dr Post continues to serve as Chairman of the International Patellofemoral Study Group \u00a0(<\/a>www.ipsg.org<\/a>) \u00a0an accomplished group working toward progress in understanding and treating patellofemoral problems of all kinds.\u00a0He also serves on the board of directors of the Patellofemoral Foundation (www.patellofemoral.org<\/a>),\u00a0 a non-profit organization dedicated to improving quality of life for individuals of all ages with anterior knee problems through patient and provider education and research.<\/p>\n

Doctor Post sees and treats a wide variety of sports and activity related problems as well as general orthopedic conditions. \u00a0His practice includes a great deal of arthroscopy, knee ligament reconstruction and shoulder surgery including arthroscopic repairs for rotator cuff and labral tears.\u00a0 Arthroscopic repairs for recurrent dislocations and total shoulder replacement are also done regularly. \u00a0In the field of academic sports medicine, Doctor Post has diverse interests that have led to peer-reviewed published research in areas including patellofemoral disorders, shoulder arthroscopy, plantar fasciitis, ACL reconstruction and meniscal repair. \u00a0He has also authored 10 textbook chapters and numerous review articles. \u00a0He has been an invited speaker at many national and international meetings.\u00a0Dr Post also regularly serves as a master instructor at Arthroscopy Association of North America Surgical Skills Courses teaching surgeons advanced surgical techniques.\u00a0Despite these academic interests and\u00a0accomplishments, he is first and foremost a dedicated and professional clinician who is committed to outstanding and personalized patient care.\u00a0 Doctor Post has been selected by his peers as one of \"The Best Doctors in America.\"<\/p>\n

Beginning in July of 2001, Doctor Post formed a new private practice in Morgantown, Mountaineer Orthopedic Specialists, LLC and continues to provide state of the art tertiary level orthopedic care in a private practice environment.\u00a0 The Fall of 2006 marked a new chapter in his private practice with the move into a new state of the art office in the Cheat Lake area of Morgantown to serve his patients more efficiently.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
