Scars

So often we think of scars as only leftovers from a wound, physical or emotional.   Certainly scars begin with an injury and seem undesirable.  But even more importantly from my perspective, they are evidence of healing.   The biology of healing, the dance between cells called quickly to the site and the chemistry that drives their process is astounding and beautiful in its own way.

In our profession as we learn more and more about growth factors already in the body, our research has turned to using platelet rich plasma and other methods of concentrating the patient’s own growth factors at the site of a problem, either an acute injury or even an arthritic joint.
